Massive European Flintlock Holster Pistol, 18th C. - Very interesting massive antique European flintlock holster pistol circa 1740-1770. The .67 caliber smooth-bore 13” steel octagon-to-round barrel struck on the left flat of the breech with an unidentified proof mark. The barrel's touch hole has been restored with a brass bushing. Heavy all brass furniture. Stock is solid with incised decorations. The convex banana shaped lock is unmarked. Wood ram rod with a flat brass tip. This pistol may have seen action in the French & Indian War - American Revolutionary War and is in Very good size flintlock. Size overall 20 1/4” L Historical Arms and Armour Collection, California Condition: Good working order. Stock has wood restoration on the left side of the barrel tang and scratches/dings from years of handling and use. All steel parts have salt & pepper light pitting
