Egyptian Wood Painted Sarcophagus Mask - Late Period circa 712 to 300 BC. Finely carved wood mummy mask, painted with a white ground pigment. Partial high crown with traces of ochre and burnt umber pigments. Size 8 1/2” H, 4” W ex-New York, New York collection, ex-private New York collection, acquired from Palmyra Heritage in 2020, ex-New York collection prior. Condition: Ancient losses to surface with minor imperfections, well preserved overall.
