Large Tibetan Bronze Phurpa, Kartika - Heavily detailed Tibetan ceremonial Kartika with three headed Mahakala deity and horse on top. The horse depicts the distinctive mark of Hayagriva, a wrathful manifestation of Avalokiteshvara. Curved or scythe-like blade of the flaying knife is modeled after the animal skinner's blade. Its curved edge, which terminates in a sharp point or hook. Size 16” L Condition: Patina throughout as shown with some wear throughout.
