Sardinian Eagle Head Hunting Sword - Pre-unification government of Sardinia (PALOSCIO DA CACCIA BOSCHI E SELVE). Eagle head pommel sword with double edged blade engraved (Boschi E. Selve) to the fuller. Probably for a brigadier 1st class of State Forestry Corps in service between 1823-1833. Guard cast clamshell with eagle motif. Size 28 1/2” L, blade 22 1/4” L
