Near Eastern Basalt Stone Mortar
Chalcolithic Period circa 3rd Millennium BC. Early and rare example, with short cylindrical walls, and thick squat flat base - this mortar was most likely used for smaller batches of spices and medicinals. Size 4 3/4" W x 3 1/4" H
