Sung Dynasty Brown Glazed Pottery Teapot - East Asia, China, Sung Dynasty, mid-10th to 12th century CE. Beautifully glazed stoneware teapot or kendi, generously dipped in layers of brown glaze, with three lugs to shoulder, and curved spout. The glaze is very stylistic of Jian type glaze. Kendi is a pouring vessel with a spout on the side with without a traditional handle. Size 6 1/2” H x 7 1/2” W Condition: As-is condition with loss to spout, soiling to base.
