Measures, 24'' H x 5'' W x 4.5'' D. Henri Louis Bouchard (1875–1960) was a renowned French sculptor and medalist known for his depictions of workers, everyday life, and historical figures. After winning the Grand Prix de Rome in 1901, he taught at the Académie Julian and later the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His career was complicated by his controversial trip to Nazi Germany in 1941, which led to his being labeled a collaborator and ostracized after the Liberation.
