PAIR OF SCANDINAVIAN STRAW YULE GOATS - This lot features a pair of Scandinavian straw yule goats. The largest measures, 32'' H x 22'' W x 12'' D. The straw Yule Goat is (or was, now it's a decoration) a ”skördebock” (harvest goat) and it was made of the last straws of the harvest. People believed the last straws were magically potent and brought luck to the next harvest. This tradition is old, but you can't really track the tradition back to Pagan times.
