CUSTOM BOEING STEARMAN LAMP, 1936-1945 - This lot features an incredibly unique custom lamp made from a 220hp, 7cyl, Stearman pt-17 by Boeing, circa 1936-1945. In good working condition and measures, 30'' H x 14'' W x 12'' D. The Stearman PT-17 served primarily as a primary trainer aircraft for the United States Army Air Force, U.S. Navy, and Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Its robust and forgiving nature made it an ideal platform for training new pilots. It is estimated that over 10,000 models and variants of the Stearman were built, and over 1,000 are still flying today.
