STICKLEY BROTHERS DINING CHAIRS - This lot features a set of four, authentic dining chairs by Stickley Furniture. The captain's chair measures, 37'' H x 25.75'' W x 18'' D and the three others measure, 36'' H x 19'' W x 17'' D. The captain's chair has the original Stickley maker mark underneath as shown in photos. Stickley's history is rooted in the Arts and Crafts movement, particularly the work of brothers Gustav, Albert, Charles, Leopold, and John George Stickley. Gustav, in particular, is credited with introducing the English Arts and Crafts ethos to the United States and shaping American design with his ”Craftsman” furniture. The company's legacy continues with L. & J.G. Stickley and is now owned by the Audi family, who have maintained a commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
