CLARK'S O.N.T. SPOOL COTTON STORE DISPLAY CABINET - A beautiful example of an antique Clark's O.N.T. spool cotton store display cabinet. Appears to be in good overall condition and still functions as it should. This cabinet measures 23'' H x 20.5'' W x 16'' D. Clark's ”O.N.T.” (Our New Thread) spool cotton, a famous trademark of the Clark Thread Company, originated in the early 1800s with Patrick Clark's invention of a way to twist cotton strands for a silk-like thread, and later developed into a six-cord thread suitable for sewing machines.
