Deluxe Painted Cupola - Cast Iron Mechanical Bank - (Finished with Eight Colors). Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Circa 1875. Now, you can push the brass door knocker in and witness the upper domed cupola pop up. This action reveals a top-hatted bank teller who bears a striking resemblance to Abraham Lincoln. He leans forward and indicates the coin aperture for your deposit. This represents a sublime example of the Cupola Bank. It is certainly one of the finest condition specimens in the world.
