Saratoga Chimes Bell Toy - Made by J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Ct. - 1890. The sport of horse racing grabbed the interest of the American people from its very beginnings. In upstate New York, the Saratoga Race Course opened for business during the middle of the Civil War in August 1863. The imagery for the bell toy portrays a very young jockey pulling a huge rose to the Winner's Circle. Condition: Pristine Condition.
