Young Boy and Raccoon Bell Toy - AKA the Two Coons Bell Ringer. Made by the Gong Bell Company. East Hampton, Ct. - Circa 1895. The ”Two Coons” represents one of the most brilliantly designed and visually appealing bell ringing toys ever created. When the toy is played with, we witness a boy and a raccoon take turns darting in and out of an old hollow log. They seem both fascinated and frightened of each other every time they meet inside the narrow log. This is certainly one of the finest condition specimens of this scarce bell toy in existence.
