Mechanical Girl In Swing - Made by Ives, Blakeslee & Company. Bridgeport, Ct. - Ca. 1880 - 14 1/4” Tall. A spherical cast iron counterweight at the top helps to effectuate the magical action of the toy. When given a vigorous winding, the girl will begin to swing forwards and backwards in a realistic manner. The red colored mechanism housing is quite unusual and especially eye appealing. Obviously, the toy is preserved in spectacular condition. Condition: Near Mint Condition with Original Box. Works well.
