Rare Charity Swing Bell Toy - Made by the Gong Bell Company. East Hampton, Ct. - Circa 1890's. The ”Charity Swing” is perhaps the tallest bell ringer ever made at Gong Bell Company. Its intricate and ornate frame is beautifully finished in blue with a profusion of gold highlighting. A wire running off the axle between the rear wheels effectuates the dynamic swinging action of the toy. The child lucky enough to receive such an exquisite toy was able to place a small doll of their choice on the swing's seat. Condition: Near Mint Condition.
