Surf Boat Bell Toy - Made by the Gong Bell Company. East Hampton, Ct. - Early 1890's. Two brave fisherman patiently sit in their boat. The pronounced ”up and down” action for this toy makes it seem that the boat is going through choppy and potentially hazardous waters. This effect is created by the use of two different sized wheels. There are very few extant examples of this bell ringer and this one is outstanding quality. Condition: Pristine Condition. One man missing hand.
