Scarce Painted Palace Bank - Made by Ives, Blakeslee & Company. Bridgeport, Ct. - Circa Mid 1890's. Found at the Miami Antiques Show. In their day, toy banks executed with painted finishes were nearly twice as expensive as those with a japanned finish. There are several known versions of the painted Palace Bank; these include red, light green and white colored palace buildings. Condition: Excellent Plus Condition.
