For the Poor German Orphans Alms Box and Cigar Cutter - German - 1880 - 14 1/2” Tall. Made of Bronze and Wood. This is an impressive Alms Box to raise funds for German Orphanages in the towns of Schwabach, Madeburg, Nederhesig and Salzwedel Germany. There are a placard for each towns orphanage going around the base of the Alms Box/Bank. The piece also doubles as a Cigar Cutter, probably as incentive to secure donations.
