Impressive Automotive Hook & Ladder - Cast Iron Toy - Made by the Kenton Hardware Company. Kenton, Ohio - Circa 1920 - 23 1/2” Long. At the end of the 19th century, urbanization raged across America and buildings were designed with increasing elevations. Taller buildings presented firefighters with many new obstacles. New types of fire vehicles were designed that attempted to solve some of these issues. In this particular truck, we find ladder supports that accommodate multiple ladders for increased elevation.
