Rare Miniature Hose Reel - Cast Iron Toy
Finished in Light Gray and Gold. Made by the Ives, Blakeslee Company. Bridgeport, Ct. - Circa 1896 - 19" Long. Purchased from Donal Markey. The Ives Company made a series of three miniature scaled fire toys that were meant to accompany their iconic mechanical fire house. These include a pumper, a hook & ladder and this seldom found hose reel toy. Specimens from the re-designed collection of 1896 are exceedingly scarce and only seldom come to market.
Condition: Pristine Condition.
