Unlike the detailed physical realism of the previous lot, this giraffe possesses a minimal stylized silhouette that elevates it to a state of great modern art. Replacing the giraffe's eccentrically shaped network of patched spots with a series of ascending arrow-shaped ”v” forms is a daring & dynamic design. This lends the giraffe a sense of motion, even though, as a stationary cast iron door stop, he will never move. This door stop is exceedingly rare and is in exceptional condition.
