In the spring of 1913, an ominous farm fright known as ”Der Bauerschreck” terrorized livestock on Austrian farms. Though the animal species of this killer culprit was never determined, here he is humorously depicted as a marauding pirate complete with pistol & knife tucked into the belt of his lederhosen.
