Goat Drawn Treasure Chest Bank - Driven by a Dragonfly Coachman. Made of Sheet Tin & Lead. Austrian - Circa 1895 - 6 1/2” Long. Ornate gold finished banks were made in Vienna as early as the middle of the 19th century. Often times they can be found decorated with colored glass pieces meant to resemble precious stones. The present specimen is arguably the most finely developed example of this tradition in toy design.
