Old South Church - Large - American - 1880 - 13” Tall. The large version of the Old South Church is one of the Holy Grails for building bank collectors. There are perhaps four or five known examples. This one surfaced about ten years ago from descendants of the original owner. The bank was repainted many years ago. The heir that previously consigned it said it had been in his family since about 1930 and was painted in this manner when it was received. It has a very crusty old surface and looks amazing.
