Company Lancaster, PA - Circa 1910's Pristine Plus Condition Hubley's Santa sleigh is regarded as one of the most iconic cast iron toys ever produced and brought to market. The sandy white carriage is rendered like a cross between a billowy snowbank and a curvilinear seashell. At the front, we find an ethereal pair of reindeer. The galloping action makes their outstretched legs look as if they are summoning the energy to catapult Santa and the sleigh into the sky. Any child from the period would have been overjoyed to be gifted with such a beautiful plaything. This represents a positively sublime example of the toy.
