Stevens Company Cromwell, CT - Circa 1890's - 8 1/2” Long Pristine Original Condition The Stevens Company is predominantly known for its extraordinary output of mechanical toy banks, but it also produced a small, exclusive line of cast iron toys. This whimsical toy represents one of its best. A boy has seated himself on a tree stump and cast his line into the lake. As the toy is operated, we find that he has hooked a big silver fish., hopefully he will successfully reel his catch in and have a tasty dinner.
