Maginei Eretz – Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim – 2 Volumes, Zhitomir 1861. Wide Margined Set - Maginei Eretz – Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, complete in two volumes. Wide margined copies, printed on white paper. Printed by the Shapiro Brothers in Zhitomir, 1861-1864. Printed for the first time in this Zhitomir edition are the Hagahos of R. Chaim Sanzer of Brody, which is often quoted by the Mishnah Berurah. As such, it is evident that the Chofetz Chaim used this Zhitomir edition when writing Mishnah Berurah.  Volume I is complete with a separate title page for the Pri Megadim commentary, which is lacking in many copies.  Stamp of R. Avraham Elimelech Shapiro (1897-1968), the Admor of Grodzisk-Jerusalem, is seen on title page of volume II.  Volume I: [2], 244; [2], 186; 245-444; 187-358 pp.  Volume II: [1], 5-329; 1-199 pp.  Condition of both volumes is good overall. Some occasional light signs of staining and wear. A small hole can be seen on title page of volume II, with loss to text.  Page size: 40.5cm
