Classic: Sefer Haflaah – Masechta Kesubos, Offenbach 1787. First Edition. A Pedigreed Copy - Sefer Haflaah, the classic work of R. Pinchos Halevi Horowitz of Frankfurt on Masechta Kesubos, Offenbach 1787. First Edition, printed by the author during his lifetime. Ever since its publication, it quickly turned into a classic, and is recognized as one of the fundamental commentaries on this Masechta.  With various ownership inscriptions on flyleaf, including that of R. Shmuel Binet, the brother of R. Mordechai Binet of Nikolsburg. Also seen are inscriptions of R. Moshe, son of R. Nachum Trebitsch, who writes that he used this copy while learning under the “Reish Mesivta” of Nikolsburg. Presumably, he is referring to either R. Mordechai Binet of Nikolsburg, or his father R. Nachum, who succeeded R. Mordechai Binet as the Rav of Nikolsburg in 1832.  Various other ownership inscriptions and stamps seen on flyleaves and title page.  In overall good condition, with occasional worming seen on some leaves.
