Sefer Toras Habayis Ha’aruch, Venice 1608. First Edition. - Sefer Toras Habayis Ha’aruch, the fundamental work of the Rashba, Venice 1608. First Edition. This work deals with various laws of Yoreh De’ah, such as Shechita, Kashrus, Ta’aruvos and other topics. It contains Rashba’s opinions on these matters, surrounded by two additional commentaries: Bedek Habayis and Mishmeres Habayis. Bedek Habayis was written by the Re’ah, who often disagrees with the Rashba. Then later, the Rashba went on to write Mishmeres Habayis – “Guardian of The House”, in order to defend his position and refute claims made by the Re’ah. Interestingly, he wrote this work anonymously and in third person, as if written by somebody else. A beautiful copy in excellent condition! Printed on crisp white paper. Light stains seen on first three and final three leaves. Tiny, insignificant wormholes seen on final leaf, not affecting text. Bound in a beautiful new leather binding. 191, [1] pp.
