Classic: Sefer Shev Shmaatsa, Lviv 1804. First Edition. A Magnificent Copy!

A complete, magnificent copy of Sefer Shev Shmaatsa, Lviv 1804. First edition, printed during the lifetime of the author.

Sefer Shev Shmaatsa, authored by R. Aryeh Leib Heller (c. 1745-1812), author of Ketzos Hachoshen and Avnei Miluim. It is perhaps the best known work in the Yeshiva world and is studied in depth and analyzed by Yeshiva students around the world.

This was the very first work which R. Aryeh Leib wrote, however it wasn’t until less than a decade before his passing that it was actually published. In his introduction, he writes that because he wrote this Sefer in his youth, he was hesitant to publish it. It is said that he composed it while he was a Chosson, presenting a new part on each day throughout his Sheva Berachos. For this reason, it is divided into 7 parts.

A magnificent copy in like-new condition. To the best of our knowledge, a copy in such beautiful condition such as this has never been offered for sale at auction.
