A Letter From the Heads of the Eidah Hachareidis - A Call For Protest - Jerusalem 1956. - An important letter from the heads of the Eidah Hacharedis in Jerusalem, addressed to the Agudas Harabonim of New York. In this letter, they detail the grave spiritual situation in Jerusalem, mainly the desecration and utter disregard for the Holy Shabbos. They relate how tens of vans made special trips on Shabbos itself. In turn, a protest was arranged on Shabbos and many were brutally beaten and arrested.  They call for help from the Agudas Harabbonim since ”it is their intention to make our Holy city of Jerusalem into a second Haifa”! With the autographs of the three leading Rabbonim of the Eidah Hachareidis, as follows: R. Pinchas Epstein (1887-1969), the head Dayan and Raavad of Jerusalem.  R.
