Sefer Shnei Luchos Habris, Zhitomir 1856. Complete in Two Volumes. A Beautiful Set! - Sefer Shnei Luchos HaBris, first published in Amsterdam in 1648. Written by R. Yeshaya HaLevi Horowitz of Frankfurt. He is commonly known as the “Shelah HaKadosh”, an acronym of this classic magnum opus, Shnei Luchos HaBris. It was originally written as his will and final testament to his children and descendants, but has become widespread ever since its publication. The Zhitomir edition of this Sefer is without doubt exceptionally special. Not only is the Sefer holy and important unto itself, it is also printed by the Shapiro brothers whose books are highly sought after due to their sanctity.  Zhitomir imprints, like those of Slavita, have long been favored by Chassidim and their Rebbes, and remain in high demand till today. It is believed that Zhitomir and Slavuta imprints bring blessing into one’s household since they were crafted with utmost Holiness and purity. In addition, they are also well-known for their quality, black letterpress font - an uncommon printing feat in the early 19th century. During their prime, the Shapiro family press was cherished and respected by all, and was undoubtedly one of the leading Jewish printing presses throughout the Russian Empire. Complete in two volumes. Bound in a new half leather binding with marbled boards. Housed in a beautiful slipcase.
