Sefer Mesoras HaBris Hagadol, Mantua 1622. First Expanded Edition. - Sefer Mesoras HaBris Hagadol was authored by R. Meir Angel (1564-1647), originally from Bulgaria. In his youth his family moved to Tzefas, where he studied under R. Elazar Ascari (The Chareidim), R. Shmuel Di Uceda (author of “Midrash Shmuel” on Avos), and R. Chaim Vital. This work contains the Derashos he gave over many years, which were composed in a very unique form. Unlike traditional Derashos, these were composed according to the Mesorah, which is the interpretation of the Tanach according to the proper reading of the words. In 1619, he published “Mesoras Habris” in Cracow, which was met with great success. This present work is an expanded edition containing Derashos on all of Tanach, hence the name “Mesoras Habris Hagadol”. It is the first edition of this work as published.  At the end of the work are two short paragraphs containing a Kabbalistic prayer written by the author.  In overall good condition. Light stains, some marginal repairs, not affecting text. Title page reimagined. Some pages are shorter in size, perhaps supplied from another copy.  [1], 84; 102 pp.
