Sefer Ohr Ne’erav - The Ramak, Venice 1587. First Edition. - Sefer Ohr Ne’erav is a fundamental work authored by R. Moshe Cordevero - The Ramak. It is divided into 7 parts, each containing several chapters. In this work, the Ramak expounds on the importance of studying Kabbalah and the proper way to approach it.  First edition, brought to print after the passing of the Ramak by his son R. Gedaliah Cordevero. In his introduction, he writes that although this work expounds on many of the very issues discussed at length in his father’s Sefer Pardes Rimonim, it is nonetheless “the finest of flour sifted by my father personally”, meaning this was intended to be published as a separate work according to his father’s wishes.  It was edited and prepared for print by R. Menachem Azariah of Fano - the famed Rema MiPano, who the Remak trusted and personally relied upon during his lifetime.  R. Moshe Cordevero (1522-1570) was the leading Mekubal of Tzfas prior to the arrival of the Arizal. According to legend, the Arizal arrived in Tzfas on the day of his funeral and participated in it, during which he saw a pillar fire emerge from heaven. He was the brother-in-law of R. Shlomo Alkabetz, author of Lecha Dodi, and was one of the leading Rabbis of Tzfas during that time. He is perhaps most known for his works Pardes Rimonim and Tomer Devorah.  In good condition, with some light stains.  56 pp. 15.5cm
