A Painted Panel for The Torah Ark, Probably New York. Circa 1920. - A beautiful painted wooden panel for the Synagogue, probably New York, ca. 1900-1920. Featured in the center are the two Luchoth carved with Hebrew lettering, painted in gilt, flanked by gilded lions supporting the Luchoth. Topped with a gilded crown with four “jewels” (one missing).  In overall good condition. Some minor cracks and chipping to wood, without loss. Top jewel of the gilded crown above Luchoth seemingly missing.  Measures approx. 30x19”.
