Seder Haggadah Shel Pesach - Yiddish Translation, Venice 1663. With Striking Woodcut Illustrations. - A complete copy of the famed Venetian Haggadah with R. Yehuda Aryeh (Leon) de Modena’s classic Tzli Aish commentary. Venice 1663. This edition features striking, impressive woodcuts detailing various Passover scenes. Each page boasts a beautiful architectural border, as well as many woodcuts depicting particular scenes mentioned in the Haggadah. R. Modena’s Tzli Aish commentary is based on Abarbanel’s classic Zevach Pesach commentary, essentially being an abridged version.  This Haggadah was produced in three variants, each with instructions in the following languages: Judeo-German, Judeo-Italian, and Judeo-Spanish (Ladino). The present copy has all instructions in Judeo-German (Yiddish) as noted on the title page.  In overall good condition. Paper slightly browned. Minor marginal repairs to some leaves, at times affecting text, with minor loss. Wine stains to some leaves, typical for Passover Haggadot.  26 leaves.  33cm.  Yudlov 67.
