A Handwritten Letter by the Secretary of Yeshivas Sha’ar HaTorah of Grodno, Grodno 1928. - A beautiful letter handwritten and signed by R. Shraga Feivel Meyerowitz, apparently the secretary of the Grodno Yeshiva. This letter, written on behalf of R. Shimon Shkop and on his personal stationery, was written to R. Yitzchak Sadin of Brooklyn, New York. In it, he thanks him for his generous donation to the Yeshiva, explaining how the Yeshiva had fallen into great debt and is on the verge of collapse. He goes on further and declares: “The truth is I can say that in our times our Yeshiva is the “Talpiyos” (i.e. “fortress), from where great Torah scholars spring forth, and many of them are already serving as Torah leaders throughout the world”.  In good condition; light stain on left panel, various fold marks.
