Sefer Shiv’im Tikkunei HaZohar - Chemdas Zvi, Amsterdam 1706. Attributed to Sabbatian Teachings. -   A complete copy of Sefer Shivim Tikkunei HaZohar, with the Chemdas Zvi commentary, authored by 17th century Kabbalist R. Zvi Chatsh. This work came under intense scrutiny after its publication, since the author was suspected of being a follower of the Sabbatian movement. This suspicion was based off a Hebrew verse seen on the title page, which declares “the crown glory of Zvi” will be the Messiah, something reminiscent of Shabthai Zvi, who’s name was Zvi. Although this work was printed with approbations from many Torah leaders, R. Naftali Katz (author of “Semichas Chachamim”) among them, it is told, allegedly, that R. Naftali Katz ultimately regretted giving this approbation and no longer stood by it once Sabbatian allegations were made.   With a striking illustrated title page featuring many woodcut illustrations, each depicting different Biblical scenes.    In good condition.   164 pp.    Vinograd, Amsterdam 804.
