The Pentateuch - R. Samson Raphael Hirsch, A Complete Set Belonging to Dayan I. Grunfeld of London. - A complete set of R. Shamshon Raphael Hirsch’s Chumash bound in uniform bindings. This set belonged to Dayan R. Yeshaya (Isidore) Grunfeld of London which he brought from Germany, with many volumes bearing his autograph.  Dayan Yeshaya HaKohen Grunfeld (1900-1975) was a Rabbi and author associated with the London Beth Din. He is best known for several popular works on Jewish law, and for his translations of the works of R. Samson Raphael Hirsch.  In 1932, he married Judith Rosenbaum, a Beis Yaakov educator who went on to reestablish the Beis Yaakov movement after the Second World War.  In very good condition. This set comprises 5 volumes from the 1911 edition (besides for Vol. II), and they were sold as a set with matching bindings. Each volume bears a sticker of the prewar Judaica bookseller of Frankfurt: SANGER & FRIEDBERG SPECIALBUCHHANDLUNG FUR JUDISCHE LITERATUR FRANKFURT A.M. Vol. I: Frankfurt Am Main, J. Kauffmann 1911. Sometimes in English and sometimes in Hebrew.
