An Important Large Silver Esrog Box, Hungary - Early 20th Century. - A beautiful, large Esrog box of silver, handmade in Hungary in the early 20th century. This Esrog box boasts an exquisite design and intricate detail, in true Hungarian fashion. With paisley motifs around the base, featuring an Esrog along the top. A true masterpiece.  This beautiful design was apparently commonly executed by various prestigious silversmiths of Hungary. An almost identical piece, with only minor differences, was part of a most prestigious Judaica collection of financier and collector Mr. Michael Steinhardt of New York, and subsequently sold at Sotheby’s in 2013.
