Dembo - First English Edition, London 1894.  The Jewish Method of Slaughter compared with other methods, from the humanitarian, hygienic and economic points of view. Written by Dr. J.A. (Issac) Dembo of St. Petersburg. This English edition was translated from the original German edition in 1894. Hand drawn diagrams are seen throughout.  This work was published in response to various laws passed in Switzerland opposing ritual slaughter in the late 19th century. His work was applauded by leading Torah scholars of the time, and was recommended by R. Yitzchak Elchanan Spector of Kovna.  Highly uncommon.  In very good condition, top cover detached. [6], 111 pp.
