Bidspirit auction | Handwritten Manuscript of the Rambam's
Handwritten Manuscript of the Rambam's Peirush of Mishnayos, Yemen. Seder Nashim. A beautiful manuscript of the Rambam's commentary to Mishnayos of Seder Nashim. This manuscript was seemingly written in the early 19th century. Written in Arabic, as was done so by the Rambam. It includes the following Masechtos: Yevamos, Kesubos, Nedarim, Nazir, Gittin, and Sotah. Masechtos Gittin and Sotah are incomplete; never completed by the scribe. Marginal notes and commentary on some pages. In very good condition. Written on thick high-quality paper. Extra-wide margins. New Binding. No title page, as it was originally bound together with the other Sedarim of Mishnayos. Apparently, it was bound as its own volume at a later date. The Volume of Seder Nezikin was featured in Kedem's auction in 2016, Sale 51a, lot 220. Approximately 150 leaves. 24 cm.
