Individual works within the series include examples titled Manas, Linga Sarira, Kama Rupa, Atman, Prana, and Buddhi, each referencing concepts drawn from Eastern philosophy, metaphysics, and theories of higher consciousness. DeVoe was born in Elmira, New York and earned both his BFA and MFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. His work reflects a lifelong fascination with mathematics, science, philosophy, music, metaphysics, and what he described as βthe geometry of life.β Throughout his career he exhibited internationally and developed a distinctive body of work merging scientific thought, sacred symbolism, and visionary imagery. The present series represents one of his most recognizable explorations of humanity's spiritual and energetic architecture.
