Dietz Vesta Railroad Night Drivers Friend Lanterns - C-20790 Pair of black metal railroad lanterns with vented tops, wire guards, rear colored signal lenses, and embossed “Dietz Vesta” markings. Traditional kerosene railroad signal form with carrying bails and fixed bases. One lantern retains side mounting bracket hardware. Rear embossing includes “Night Drivers Friend Style” along with other information, including patent numbers. Produced by R.E. Dietz Company, New York, early to mid 20th century. Shows surface wear, oxidation, soot residue, paint loss, and age-related wear throughout. Lens glass is cracked in both lanterns, as shown. Lantern L/ lever: 7.5” L x 6” W x 11.25” H
