Additional notes: Les Maîtres de l'Affiche or "Masters of the Poster" refers to a collection of 256 color lithographic plates that were used to create a French art publication at the turn of the century. The plates allowed for poster reproductions to be made of original art pieces of over 90 artists. The posters were then produced and issued to buyers in sets of 4 on a subscription basis. The publication was curated and produced by Jules Chéret, also known as the father of poster art.
