Biography from the Archives of askART: A long-time resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Grace Dickerson was a painter, sculptor and ceramist, and also an art instructor, who taught in Fort Wayne at the Harmar School, 1950 to 1951 and the Arcola School in 1955. She studied at the Fort Wayne Art School; Instituto Allende, Mexico where she eanred an Master of Fine Arts Degree; the Art Institute of Chicago; and with Guy P?ne DuBois. She also studied at St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Memberships included the Indian Art Club, Hoosier Salon and the Fort Wayne Art School Alumin Association. Exhibition venues were the Women's National Exhibition, Cincinnati, Ohio; Fort Wayne Museum; Indiana Art; and local Fort Wayne organizations including the Women's Club. Other exhibitions were the Michiana Art Exhibition; John Herron Art Institute; Indiana State Fair; and the Hoosier Salon.
