Pair of Gardner Symons River Landscape Paintings - George Gardner Symons (American, 1861-1930). Pair of oil on board impressionist river landscape paintings. One depicting a yellow and purple sky reflected in the waters below, initialed along the lower right; one depicting a light blue sky filled with soft clouds over a rural town, signed along the lower left. (Each) Sight; height: 6 1/4 in x width: 8 1/4 in. (Each) Framed; height: 10 1/4 in x width: 12 1/4 in x depth: 1 1/2 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. To each, there are scattered areas of inpainting, particularly along the sky. To the painting with the yellow sky, there appear to be small nicks along the upper edge of the board, noticeable upon close inspection. Light wear to the frames. Not inspected out of frame.
