Chinese Imari Bird, Dog, & Peonies Plate - Chinese export Imari plate, ca. first half of the 18th century. Painted with a bird seated on a perch among large peony blooms. A small dog is seated on a rock nearby. Provenance: Christie's, New York, ”Benjamin F. Edwards III Collection of Chinese Export Porcelain, Part III, ” 20 January 2004, Lot 52; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Diameter: 9 in. Condition: There are no cracks. There are two minute repaired frits to the rim. Very light surface wear.
