Chinese Tang Painted Pottery Dancing Woman Figure - Chinese pottery tomb figure in the form of a dancing woman, Tang dynasty. With one curved arm raised above her head, the figure wears a striped robe and has her hair bound in two buns. Decorated with polychrome pigment. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 10 1/4 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and material. There are glue repaired breaks along the right hand, left shoulder, and left elbow. There are large losses to the pigment throughout. Accretions throughout, consistent with age and possible burial. Wear including chipping to the left foot and base.
